FORFIRM AI Talks: Moving Beyond the Hype of Generative AI
June 18, 2026
On May 28th, FORFIRM had the pleasure of hosting the first edition of FORFIRM AI Talks in Lugano, bringing together professionals from the financial, industrial, legal, technology and cybersecurity sectors to discuss one of the most pressing challenges facing organizations today: how to transform Generative AI from experimentation into a tangible business capability.
Over the past few years, Generative AI has captured the attention of companies and institutions worldwide. Yet while interest continues to grow, many organizations are still grappling with a fundamental question: how can AI be adopted in a secure, governed and measurable way?
This was the central theme of the evening.

Key Theme 01
From Technology to Business Value
One of the key messages that emerged throughout the event was the need to move beyond a purely technology-driven approach to AI.
Successful adoption of Generative AI does not depend solely on selecting the most advanced model or tool. It requires a clear understanding of business objectives, redesigned processes, engaged teams and governance structures capable of supporting transformation.
Technology is only one component of a broader journey that involves people, operating models, data and risk management.

Key Theme 02
Governance and Responsibility in the Age of AI
Another major topic was the relationship between innovation, regulation and cybersecurity.
The evolving regulatory landscape, the introduction of the AI Act and the growing focus on transparency, accountability, data protection and human oversight are reshaping the way organizations must design and govern AI initiatives.
The challenge is not only understanding what is technically possible, but also determining what is appropriate, secure and sustainable within a specific business and regulatory context.

Key Theme 03
From Experimentation to Production
During the event, several real-world examples demonstrated how Generative AI can create value in sophisticated enterprise environments.
The use cases presented showed how AI can become a driver of productivity, knowledge management and operational efficiency when integrated into structured processes and supported by appropriate governance mechanisms.
From enterprise knowledge platforms that simplify access to distributed information, to AI-powered operational workflows capable of interpreting data, documents and business requests, the message was clear: the real value of AI lies not in the technology itself, but in an organization's ability to integrate it into scalable and sustainable operating models.
Key Theme 04
The Importance of a Multidisciplinary Perspective
One of the most valuable aspects of the event was the exchange of perspectives among professionals from different disciplines.
Contributions from experts in strategy, digital transformation, architecture, cybersecurity, compliance, banking and industry reinforced a principle that is becoming increasingly evident: AI cannot be approached as an isolated technology initiative.
Its successful adoption requires cross-functional collaboration, shared accountability and a balanced combination of innovation, governance and business execution.

Closing Perspective
Looking Beyond the Hype
At FORFIRM, we believe that the future of AI will not be determined solely by advances in models or technology.
The organizations that will generate lasting value are those capable of building solid foundations where governance, change management, architecture, data and performance measurement evolve together.
Generative AI has already entered the enterprise. The question is no longer whether organizations should adopt it.
The real question is how to do so while maintaining control, responsibility and measurable business value.
